Traveling Dart League

General League Information

Introducing the Northeastern Pennsylvania Traveling Dart League.  If you are a dart shooter at any level this league is for you.  We are accepting new shooters, teams, sponsors, and entire regional areas.  We only accept new teams in established regional areas, however if your placing a regional area there are no distance restrictions.  What this means is that the individual shooter does not have to travel more than a few minutes from their home sponsor to shoot in a large competitive traveling dart league.       We currently have several regional areas and are expanding our league to encompass Northeastern Pennsylvania.  We shoot on Wednesday Nights, Mondays are reserved for the Three/Four league. Main points of our league:      1 - Our league does not sell tickets or charge money to go to the clambake!      2 - You will not travel to other regional areas.      3 - We provide plaques and money for individual and team awards.       4 - Everyone goes to the clambake for free!  This league does not sell tickets! Our league works like this:  Each team pays dues instead of fundraisers.  It is up to your individual team to come up with the dues, like collecting from team shooters, blanks, 50/50, ect.  The current league dues are $350 for the season.  That's it!  The rest is a good competitive league for all level of shooter, both male and female.  Each team will shoot an equal number of  home and away games, depending on the size of the region.  The league will normally run approx. 22 weeks(regular season) with approx. 3 weeks of playoffs. This is a handicap league.  Each new region will decide to shoot five or six shooters. We currently have three handicaps in place as follows: FIVE PERSON TEAM:             1 - Shoot FIVE players, with only the top four scores count to total.  If a shooter has a bad game it does not hurt the team.  If you only have four you can still shoot but you don't get the bonus of dropping the low score. SEE EXAMPLE             2 - 60% of the top four averages shooting.             3 -  155.0 cap of the top four averages.  155.0 can shoot, 155.1 cannot. SIX PERSON TEAM:             1 - Shoot SIX players, with only the top five scores count to total.  If you only have five you can still shoot but you don't get the bonus of dropping the low score.  SEE EXAMPLE             2 - 60% of the top five averages shooting.             3 -  190.0 cap of the top five averages.  190.0 can shoot, 190.1 cannot. These handicaps keep the league very competitive. The Three/Four League This is  a no handicap league that shoot on Monday Nights and is designed for the serious dart competitor of any skill level.  There are three divisions based on your individual and team average.  This is a four person team with only the top three scores count to total.  You only shoot against your skill  level.
