NEPA Traveling Dart League
Here
is an example of the handicap for SIX shooters.
These
are the shooter’s averages before the game.
TEAM
ONE TEAM
TWO
Brian 35.1 Dale 27.5
Mike 36.3 Donna 36.5
Bill 30.8 Tim
28.7
Lisa 30.0 Mark 30.0
Sam 28.6 Ed 40.5
George
37.5 John _ 37.9___
169.7 173.6
Both
Sam and Dale are the sixth (low) average before they shoot the match, so they
don’t count for the spot.
The
spot is calculated as follows: 173.6
- 169.7
3.9
X .6 (60%)
= 2.3 rounded to 2PTS for team one
before match.
The
final scores for the shooters after they shoot are as follows:
TEAM
ONE TEAM
TWO
Brian 40 Dale 32
Mike 38 Donna 32
Bill 25 Tim 30
Sam 38 Ed 42
Lisa 35 Mark 35
George
32 John _ 39
__
183 180
After
the match Bill and Tim shot the low games so their scores do not count to
total.
The
final calculation is as follows:
TEAM ONE TEAM TWO
183 + 2 (spot)=
185 180
Team
one wins the game by 5.
Notice
that the averages dropped to figure out the spot were not the
same
shooters that shot the low scores. This is often the case.
Let
me know if you need further clarification.
