Traveling Dart League

Nanticoke, Plymouth, Plymouth Township Traveling Dart League held its regular monthly meeting of the 2007 Season at the Big House on September 12th, 2007.  The meeting was called to order at 8 pm by President Brian Murphy.

Roll call was held, team representatives present included Big House, Quoit Club 1 and 2, 400 Club 1 and 2, Eagles 1 and 2, Italian Club, Mid Town, Larry’s Pizza, Poor House, Larksville Legion and Savitsky’s Edge.  Maxie’s had no representation.

No fines were assessed at this organization meeting.

For the first three (3) weeks of the season all averages will be taken from last year’s final average sheet.  Starting Week 4 all averages will be adjusted to show the correct average for all players.  If a shooter does not have an average the 1st game they shoot will be the average for game 2.  After game 2 both totals will be added together and divided by 2 to get the average for game 3.   If a player shoots game 1 and doesn’t shoot game 2 his average for game 1 will be average for game 3.

Teams were picked at random for each division, score sheets and envelopes were handed out to each team.

Monthly meetings will be every 2 months instead of every month. This means that the next meeting in November all teams must have at least ½ of their dues.  That will be $175.00.  On all stat sheets returned via e-mail it will be noted how much each team owes.  It is not a case of picking on teams it is just a reminder that dues are to be paid by the next meeting. If you collect your money and get the money to the Acting Treasurer Stan Savitsky or President Brian Murphy, they will contact Jack and your team name will be taken off the list.

The cap will remain at 190 for the top five shooters on the score sheet, with a 60% handicap to the lower team average.

Old Business

There is $430.00 left over from last years Clambake.  All shooters are reminded that if you or a guest are, going the money should be turned over to your team captain in advance.  Don’t make the Clambake committee’s job any harder than it already is.

New Business

Al Rasmus made a comment that while taking score there are a lot of shooters gathered around the scores table making it difficult to keep track of the game.  It was discussed that the number of shooters be limited to one at a time or let the team captain or his delegate be the only one allowed at the table.  After much discussion it was decided upon that the number would be two (2).  President Brian Murphy also stated the league has blank single sheets so the visiting team can sit by the official score keeper keeping their own results.  Thus not bothering the home team score keeper. It also will make sure no errors are made and it can be corrected then and not at the end of the game.

Next Meeting November 6, 2007 8 P.M. at Mid Town Bar in Plymouth, Pa.
