Traveling Dart League

Nanticoke, Plymouth, Plymouth Township Traveling Dart League held its regular monthly meeting of the 2007 Season at Maxie’s Bar on July 10th, 2007.  The meeting was called to order at 8 pm by President Brian Murphy.

Roll call was held team representatives present included Honey Pot Club formerly Maxie’s 2,  Big House,  400 Club 1 & 2,  VFW 5267 formerly 400 Club 3,  Thunder Alley formerly Savitsky’s Edge,  Eagles,  Maxie’s,  Italian Club formerly Savitsky’s 2.  Teams with no representation Mid Town formerly Quoit Club 1, Larry’s, Shy’s, Parkway, and Quoit Club formerly Quoit Club 2.

No fines were assessed at this organization meeting.

Some rules were discussed with the topic being 7:30 start.  Teams will have a 10 minute grace period to start the 1st game. After 10 minutes it is a forfeit unless both teams agree to wait longer.  At 8 o’clock if a team cannot be put together it is a forfeit of all four games.

Any new team that wants to join the League will be accepted without a League vote provided it falls in the district of N. P. P.T.  A motion was taken to allow Savitsky’s 2 to join the League shooting out of Glen Lyon.  All teams present voted to allow them in.

If Jack doesn’t have your sheet in his mail by Saturday you will be accessed a $5 fine.  If you have to hand carry it you have until Sunday at noon.  Sheets will be returned by e- mail on Monday with the up to date stats.  It is the home team’s responsibility to get the sheets out on time.

If Jack doesn’t receive a sheet it will be marked on the Weekly Win /Loss as no sheet.  If no sheet arrives after a week it will be posted as a forfeit for the home team and the visitor will receive 4 wins.

Rob Wilson resigned as Treasurer of the Dart League.  We are currently looking for a Treasurer that can fill his spot.  Rob did such a great job it will be hard to find someone to take on such an enormous job.  In the interim Stan Savitsky will be collecting the funds.

Monthly meetings will be every 2 months instead of every month. This means that every 2 months you will need to pay $100 for team dues.  At our next meeting all teams must have a delegate present to pay for Franchise Fee and Good Faith Money.  New teams must pay $75 franchise and $25 good faith money at that time.  Returning teams will pay $50 franchise and $25 good faith.  .

The cap will remain at 190 for the top five shooters on the score sheet, with a 60% handicap to the lower team average.

If we get 16 teams the area will be divided in half to minimize the travel distance.  You will shoot your area twice and shoot the other area once.  Example VFW and Big House would shoot each other 2 times in the year and only shoot Italian Club once.  Each division would have 8 teams. You would shoot your division twice and the other division once for a total of 22 weeks.

Darts will start on September 12, 2007.  We will have a meeting September 11, 2007 at the Big House in Breslau 8 o’clock.  Schedules, score sheets and envelopes will be distributed at that time.  We will be using the same darts as last season; more information can be obtained from Brian Murphy at the Clambake on July 22. Dues must be paid in full by the final meeting in February

Hope to see all at the Clambake.

Jack
